WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company committed to delivering essential waste management solutions to customers and communities supported by our team of 2,100 employees. WIN Waste Innovations is a vertically integrated business with a platform of 50 strategically located collection, transfer, and disposal assets. These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.
WIN Waste Innovations is currently seeking a Marketing Manager for our New York and Connecticut markets.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the company's existing customer portfolio with primary focus on the customer retention strategy (price/term, volume)
- Manage all customer and stakeholder relationships in your market area. Directly and or Indirectly involved in all activities outside the Scale.
- Maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in designated market to anticipate changing customer needs; proactively manage customer base.
- Actively monitor market developments through interpersonal communications, regulatory notices, bid services, and news reports
- Maintain market plans and associated data, including but not limited to permits, AORs, and solid waste management plans
- Optimize the daily flow of volumes, both third party and intercompany, into company locations (waste to energy, transfers, landfills)
- Own your market's disposal forecast, monthly operating report and annual budgeting and planning processes
- Use of Salesforce.com to document customer correspondence, activity, and pipeline needs
- Prepare RFP and bid responses as needed in accordance with applicable external and internal standards and procedures
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports and presentations as needed
- Work effectively with internal stakeholders Consults with corporate management on economic trends, sales forecasts, and market developments. Reviews and evaluates the market area performance on a continuing basis and establishes proper measures of performance.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Company's available services, lines of business, pricing structures to assist sales personnel in particular selling circumstances as the need arises.
- Ensures performance (PDS) and incentive (MIP) goals are aligned with expectations and key business strategies of the Market Area, Group, and Corporate.
- Interacts with state, local city, municipal and county governmental agencies to ensure good corporate citizen status, customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, renew contracts, and negotiate new contracts.
- Support the acquisition and group, identifying opportunities for external growth
Experience and Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a sales role, will consider 3-5 years of experience if within a waste industry
- Valid driver's license.
