Description:
The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences ( CEOAS ) invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE ) 12-month, fixed-term, Research Associate position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
This position will join a new DoD funded project in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences ( CEOAS ) at Oregon State University ( OSU ), working directly with the project's principal investigators (PIs) at James Watson ( OSU ), Steven Johnson (Cornell University), Ethan Addicott (University of Exeter) and Sarah Glaser ( WWF ). The incumbent will develop economic analysis of fisheries and geospatial data to compute the Natural Capital Asset Price of fisheries as they undergo climate change driven spatial shifts. This work includes data wrangling and analysis, bioeconomic modeling, and the potential for machine learning.
