Job description
This is a 6-12 month contract position with the potential to go permanent based on business needs.
The Data & Reporting Coordinator (DRC) in the Pathology Services Group is responsible for providing continuous support to CND pathologists, Pathology Operations Manager, and Digital Pathology Specialist in the daily creation of pathology reports for ordering clinicians and their patients. The DRC has an extreme awareness of and appreciation for the precision and accuracy required for inputting clinical information, pathology data, and other elements into electronic systems and final reports. The DRC has experience handling Personal Health Information and abides by all HIPAA rules and Company guidelines. The DRC is a key member of the Pathology Services Group and performs data entry from pathologists' reading documents into the Company's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) with great care. The DRC also supports pathology process improvement and collaborates closely with the Pathology Operations Manager to ensure daily efficiencies are achieved across the Company's full-time and part-time pathologists. The DRC plays a huge role in helping to close out each month of patient pathology reports and conducting quality assurance on a consistent basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance and control of pathology support documents and reading templates that have been completed by pathologists
- Execute careful data entry into CND's LIMS
- Pre-fill reading documentation for Pathologist review
- Allocate and distribute daily work to Pathologists based on medical state licensure and stain parameters.
- Receive and triage inbound pathology work from onsite pathologists and offsite affiliates
- Track repeat testing requests and other quality issues as noted by pathologists on reading documents or in LIMS
- Assist in generating monthly pathology quality metrics
- Load and transfer completed pathology reports to CND's billing and reimbursement system
- Maintain and file H&E and Congo Red slides after case interpretation is complete
- Conduct other activities as needed and requested by the department
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience in hospital-based/physician office setting with hands-on data entry responsibilities using an EMR/EHR and other software
- Experience in a pathology department or medical diagnostic laboratory preferred
- Strong attention to detail and appreciation for quality controls in medical office or related healthcare setting
- Familiarity and comfort with medical terminology
- Knowledge of business software applications (Microsoft Office)
- Experience with a LIMS preferred

Education, Certifications, and Licensures:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates or bachelor's degree preferred

- This job will be expected to work onsite at CND's Scottsdale, AZ headquarters 4-5 days/week
