Job Title: Respiratory Therapist | Adult or Pediatric
Location: Edison, New Brunswick, Sayreville, Milltown, Highland Park, Franklin Township, Somerset, South River, Piscataway
Compensation: $83,200 -$110,240 annually + bonus opportunity + full benefits + many other incentives and perks

Our state-of-the-art facilities are dedicated to meeting the unique respiratory needs of children, and we are currently seeking 20+ skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team in an acute, long term, and outpatient settings (positions span most settings). We have Full time, Part time, and Per diem positions available.
Job Summary: As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced, pediatric environment. Your expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating respiratory conditions will directly impact the well-being and recovery of our young patients.
Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments of adult and pediatric patients, including physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and analyzing test results.
• Administer respiratory therapies and treatments, such as bronchodilator therapy, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and aerosol therapy, according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for each patient, ensuring they are continuously monitored and modified as necessary.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations, including respiratory distress, airway obstruction, and cardiopulmonary emergencies.
• Conduct patient education and provide guidance to families and caregivers on respiratory care techniques, equipment usage, and disease management.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas analysis, and oximetry, and interpret the results to assess respiratory function.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatments, progress, and any changes in respiratory status.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in respiratory therapy and pediatric care by attending conferences, workshops, and participating in professional development activities.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor's of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care adult or pediatric setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric respiratory assessments, therapy administration, and emergency response.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilator management, and critical care procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and make critical decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients.
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
