Position: PT High School Art & Animation Instructor (HS-College Dual Credit Program)

Reports to: Michelle Yan, K12 Program Director

DigiPen Academy’s K-12 department seeks an experienced, reliable, and engaging part-time High School Art & Animation Instructor (HS-College Dual Credit Program) to join our instructional team. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team, teaching High-School-aged WANIC students in Redmond, WA. You will be expected to provide educationally engaging instruction tailored to each student's academic goals.

The Washington Network for Innovative Careers (WANIC) is a regional skills center cooperative of select school districts in Northeast King County. WANIC provides advanced-level career and technical education programs based on rigorous academic and industry standards that prepare students for post-secondary education and successful entry into high-skill, high-demand careers.

The DigiPen Academy and WANIC Educational program works, in cooperation with the Lake Washington School District, to provide students with an opportunity to develop the skills necessary to pursue post-secondary education in the field of fine art and animation. The program focuses on traditional art skills, including basic drawing, composition, line and value, and perspective drawing. In addition, students are introduced to essential animation skills like character concept and design, basic keyframe animation, motion studies, and 2D and 3D computer animation.

Upon accepting an offer of employment with DigiPen Institute of Technology, prospective employees will receive an invitation for a required background check and 5-panel, non-THC drug screen as a part of the hiring process.

Wage Range:

$25 - $35 per hour
