Summary

Job Description:
Seeds of Excellence Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of Athletic Director for the 2024-2025 school year. As an institution committed to teaching the whole child, we emphasize the development of the spirit, mind, and body. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and expertise to cultivate a successful and inspiring athletic program that aligns with our values and mission.

Duties

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive athletic program that promotes physical fitness, character development, and sportsmanship among students.
• Collaborate with the academic and administrative teams to ensure the integration of athletic activities within the overall educational framework of Seeds of Excellence Christian Academy.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate coaches and other athletic staff members to ensure they provide a safe, positive, and enriching environment for student-athletes.
• Plan and coordinate athletic schedules, practices, and competitions, ensuring that all events adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with parents, students, and the wider community to encourage involvement and collaboration in supporting athletic endeavors.
• Manage the athletic budget and seek additional funding opportunities to support the growth and sustainability of an exceptional athletic program.
• Monitor and enforce athletic eligibility requirements and academic progress for student-athletes, encouraging personal growth and accountability.

Requirements

Qualifications:
� Committed Christian
� Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
� Previous experience in coaching, athletic administration, or a related field. Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
� Extensive knowledge of various sports and athletic programs, as well as an understanding of the principles of skill development, coaching methodologies, and team dynamics.
� Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both athletes and staff.
� Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Adherence to Christian principles and support for the values and mission of Seeds of Excellence Christian Academy.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for athletic events, when necessary.
