Description:
Our client has needs within their group supporting mapping updates throughout service territory. In this role responsibilities can include but not limited to the following:- Working with Engineers to support map estimates to update within ArcMap. Maintaining data provided from distribution that follows the PD Technology standards. Providing support to Distribution Control Centers and Engineering as information's needed for field services.

Qualification requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or similar field, or have a GIS Certificate, or at least 2 years of full time GIS work experience is required
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required; experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus
• Competency with standard computer software, to include Microsoft Office suite is required
• Compatible working in a team environment is a necessity
• Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) is a plus
• Flexible to work 40 hours per week, M-F, in an office environment in Birmingham, Alabama. Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours per day, starting as early as 7am and ending as late as 5pm. Flexible to work remotely (from home) as well. Remote work requires stable broadband Internet connection of 20mb/s or capable of supporting remote desktop connections over VPN and is responsibility of worker.
Note: Once the 2-3 months training period is completed in B'ham, Alabama (depends on individual), work may become mostly remote.
