University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care.

Serving North Texas and surrounding areas, UBH Denton has provided a range of programs treating mental health illnesses and substance abuse issues since 2005. Our inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services offer supportive and compassionate care for adolescents and adults with specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

Job Summary

The Director of Business Development is an exciting, dynamic and rewarding position at UBH Denton.  In this role you will develop, lead and execute the facility’s strategic objectives in collaboration with the CEO and senior leadership. You will be responsible for marketing, customer relations, brand/image, and all business development related activities.  The Director of Business Development manages the sales team who is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through the effective application of marketing principles and methods. You and your team will build relationships with referral sources including primary care physicians, mental health therapists, healthcare systems, etc., ultimately positioning UBH Denton as the behavioral health provider of choice in our community. 

As a member of the facility senior leadership team, the Director of Business Development is actively involved in strategic planning, sales and marketing management, identification of potential growth opportunities, future projects, changing in programing/protocols, recruitment and retention.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. Masters of Business Administration or related field highly preferred. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.

Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. Five years minimum experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of the DFW behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, and age-specific programming. Must possess demonstrated superior leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing principles including product, placement, pricing and promotion as well as management of sales, advertising, social media, online presence and, public relations resources; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application and, evaluation; strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
