For more information, visit Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Collaborate with project managers on various initiatives and projects to track progress and provide support as necessary. - Support leadership in ensuring that the project is delivered to specifications, is on time, and within budget. - Work closely with management and work groups to create and maintain work plan documents. - Track the status and due dates of projects. - Manage relationships with project staff responsible for projects. - Produce regular weekly and monthly status reports that could include; work plan status, target dates, budget, resource capacity, and other reports as needed. - Facilitate regular meetings and reviews. - Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in related field. - 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required. - Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree. The Schedule Manager assists the Project Manager by assuming primary responsibility for the implementation of the Master Project Schedule including monitoring project task completion, remaining effort, schedule, and budget with periodic status reports. The Project Control Manager establishes and manages protocols for risk management, issue resolution, change control, and scope control throughout the project design, construction, testing, and implementation processes. The Project Control Manager makes sure that all meetings identified in the Master Project Plan are scheduled, the appropriate invitees are included, meeting preparation materials are created and distributed in advance of the meetings as needed and meeting outcomes are documented (e.g., minutes, action items, issues). Additional Duties and Responsibilities: - Support leadership in ensuring that the project is delivered to specifications, on time and within budget. - Work closely with management and work groups to create and maintain work plan documents. - Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with the standard of best project practice. - Track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports. - Develops and/or contributes to project deliverables. - Attends and facilitates project meetings with the client, subcontractors, project stakeholders, or other Maximus Team members, as requested by the Project Manager. - Ensure accuracy of project schedules and performed version control. - Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for control and integrity. - Monitor projects' progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date. - Maintain project risk register to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on schedule, scope, and budget of projects. - Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans. - Perform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items, and work with the project manager to ensure resolution. - Produce regular weekly and monthly status reports, work plan status, target dates, budget, resource capacity and others, as well as ad hoc reports as needed. - Collaborate with project managers on various initiatives and projects to track progress and provide support as necessary. - Facilitate regular meetings and reviews. - Be available to work remotely in a virtual team and office environment and on-site at client locations in California as needed. - Perform other duties as assigned by management. Additional Minimum Requirements: - A minimum of five (5) years of Project Management experience for large systems projects. - Recent project experience with a public sector agency serving vulnerable populations . - Experience with the principles of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOKĀ®). - Ability to interface with executive sponsors, IT resources, management teams, and stakeholders on a regular basis to interview and gather information and data to support analysis. - Proficient in MS Project with experience maintaining an integrated project workplan involving multiple stakeholder plans/schedules. - Strong analytical skills. - Excellent verbal and writing skills. - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; experience may be substituted for education. - Must have the flexibility for travel and a hybrid work schedule with remote and onsite work at CPUC Offices. - Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio. - Experience coordinating the complex technical work of others; serve as a team leader to analyze the more technical and difficult situations; establish and maintain project priorities; analyze situations accurately and take effective action . Pay Transparency Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
