Howmet Aerospace is currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as a 2024 Summer Intern at our Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) group in Tucson AZ; a business unit within Howmet Aerospace, a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. The Company's primary businesses focus on jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems and titanium structural parts necessary for mission-critical performance and efficiency in aerospace and defense applications, as well as forged wheels for commercial transportation. An internship with HFS allows students to be a part of dynamic and innovative projects, while providing ample mentoring and professional development opportunities. Working alongside leadership, HFS interns have the opportunity to sharpen their skills through hands-on learning. An internship with HFS will provide you with invaluable experience that you could utilize in any role, and it is Howmet's goal to evaluate its interns for potential entry-level openings.
Internship opportunity will be at our facility located in Tucson Arizona.
We are looking for an intern in the following majors:
- Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering
Qualifications: - 3.0 GPA and above
- Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.
- Prior work experience.
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering with an expected graduation date of Fall 2024 or Spring 2025
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
