Work week: Salaried – Monday through Friday
Job location: Alexandria, LA – must be able to work onsite (relocation assistance will be available)
Compensation: $90,000
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, parental leave, 401k match up to 4% + annual discretionary 401k employer contribution, company paid short & long-term disability, 2-3 weeks PTO + personal/sick time + 11 total holidays.
Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in automation, mechanical, robotics or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
- 2 or more years’ experience in manufacturing, robotics engineering or similar role.
- Reviewing and approving cost estimates and project calculations.
- Excellent knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is accountable for overseeing the robotic systems to achieve the maximum efficiency in the manufacturing production areas of a heavy industrial facility. The incumbent will play a crucial roll in researching, designing, building configuring, testing and maintaining robotic systems and application.
Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Reading, writing, analyzing and interpreting technical procedures and schematics.
- Defining problems, collecting data, and deducing facts and conclusions.
- Writing software, building electronics, and designing mechanisms.
- Programming complex robotics systems.
- Researching, developing, and maintaining robotics systems and components.
- Troubleshooting robotics systems and applications.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records.
To ensure success the incumbent should exhibit knowledge of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting and robotics.
SKILLS/SPECIFICATIONS:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven skills in writing software and programming systems.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Implementing improvements to increase production.
- Ensure that robotic machines operate safely.

- Bachelor’s degree in automation, mechanical, robotics or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
