Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Crozet, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• 30 or more hours per week in the golf shop.
• Assist with Membership Goals and Initiatives.
• Assisting the resident PGA professionals with the merchandise concessions (recieving, displaying, selling, managing par levels, special order and physical inventories).
• Assisting in our robust junior golf programs.
• Planning, teaching and excecuting group clinics and private lessons in conjunction with the resident professionals.
• Full execution of Golf Tournaments and Events.
• Train and Lead Outside Staff to ensure Club Standards.
• Handicap Lead.
• Club Fitting.
• Reporting to the Director of Golf & Head Professional.
• Assist in achieving the highest customer service standards.
• Scheduling and supervising as needed.
• Serve as Lead Professional in absence of Head Professional and Director of Golf.
• Provide Club Repair Services.
• Assist in coordinating golf activites with other departments.
• Maintain and promote a positive professional image in the community.
• Play with members and guests to promote the club.
Requirements:
2 or more years in the golf industry.
PGA Member Preferred.
The drive and responsibility to assist in meeting our fiscal goals.
The willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Detail oriented.
Passion for executing tournaments and events.
Passion for teaching and growing the game.
Experience with Club Profit Systems (not required).
Experience with Golf Genius Tournament Software (not required).
Experience with Foresight Sports GC Quad (not required).
Compensation:
$40,000.00 per year.
