Location: Buford GA
Salary: $65k-$80k
Industry: Manufacturing (Non-Union / Publicly Traded)
Needs: Buying / Purchasing of Raw Materials
100% onsite

What You Will Be Doing

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for the control, management, scheduling and planning of all raw material inventories used in the manufacturing facilities. This position maintains organizational channels of communication regarding inventory issues and works closely with Inventory Coordinator, production management, freight management to manage and maintain lead times.

- Responsible for purchasing of all outsourced items including (pipe, castings and non inventoried items). Purchasing of raw material.
- Coordinate BOM inventory with production schedule
- Forecast raw materials usage
- Schedule plant production/cut work orders
- Monitor In-Transit Interplant transactions
- Monitor movement of inventory locations
- Set pricing margins on non-standard items
- Review and manage of Over-Allocation Report
- Implementation of proper inventory consumption transactions

What You Need for this Position

- 2+ Years of Buying / Purchasing experience in manufacturing
- Experience buying raw materials
- Inventory Management experience
- Material Forecasting experience
- Setting up planning tools (Currently using Oracle)
