Job description
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Marketing is the global marketing arm of The Walt Disney Studios. Our business is responsible for the creative advertising, research, media, publicity and promotion of every movie released theatrically by the Walt Disney Studios – Disney Live Action, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney Animation, Pixar, Disneynature, 20thCentury Fox, and Blue Sky Studios. And we’re now excited to add to our portfolio, support of our new streaming service, Disney+.
Partnerships & Promotions Special events team works closely with every department within WDSMP and WDSMPI – including creative content, publicity, media, synergy, national promotions, online marketing, and distribution; Disney divisions include Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, theme parks & resorts, Walt Disney Records; Disney Store, publishing, Disney Interactive Studios, Disney Channel, consumer products, etc.
Individual must be able to tactfully lead, multi-task and manage special events and AD Hoc projects for the special events team, gather, route and disseminate.
Responsibilities:
Handle all creative assets and information related to campaign for films including strategy decks, scripts, promotional materials – download, catalogue, organize, prep for filmmaker approval and legal clearances
Organizes the logistics, milestone charts and development plan documents for screenings and key marketing stunts and events and campaign activations.
Partners and works extensively with internal departments and external vendors to provide and/or receive necessary information, materials, approvals, updates, etc.
Track and organize the high volume of all incoming and outgoing material in an urgent and effective way
Partner with vendors and internal teams to coordinate delivery of materials
Serve as traffic coordinator for all inbound requests coming from Marketing and other LOB/segments within the company
Actively manage calendar and provide meeting prep for both Executive and Manager
Provide all information related to campaign for films; including strategy decks, scripts, promotional partnership material, etc.
When required, coordinate transfers of sensitive and confidential material, ensuring security protocols are effectively enabled.
Primary contact for all incoming phone calls and communications
Other projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Respond to tasks given with urgency, in both day-to-day and high pressure situations
Represent team in a cordial, professional manner when working with other offices, executives, and filmmakers, as well as business unit contacts and external partners
Detail oriented and organized in thinking and execution to maintain efficient office, files, database, and information.
Have excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
Effectively problem solve using resources available, exercising good judgement and discretion
Confirmed proficiency in general administrative skills including answering the phone, filing, etc. Excellent typing and spelling skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for meeting requests and calendaring. Technologically savvy.
Great teammate - willing to work with other employees at all levels in support of the marketing team in Burbank and worldwide.
Friendly, easy-going manner to handle varied personalities, responsibilities and assignments.
Overall working knowledge with the SAP system desired.
Ability to work overtime when special projects dictate.
Positive can-do attitude!

Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television or relevant work experience.

The hiring range for this position in CA is $56,929.60 to $73,673.60 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
