Job description

NUVIA UK's Technical Services department are recruiting for an experienced Radiological Protection Engineer. This is an embedded opportunity, supporting one of our leading clients within the nuclear industry. 

Location wise, this is a hybrid opportunity, working out of the client's office in Bristol, 3 days per week.

Please note the ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential, as a minimum.

About The Role:

The provided service ensures that the Buildings within EDF EPR Engineering UK’s
scope of responsibility meet the radiological protection requirements as required by the Nuclear Safety Authority.
The service reports to the Team Leader and works alongside other Radiological
Protection Engineers. The provided service works closely with other engineering
disciplines within EDF EPR Engineering UK and Paris/Lyon and are part of the
extended Radiological Protection team mainly based in Edvance Paris and Lyon.

Based on radiological protection requirements and technical documents supplied by systems engineers (circuit operation, space requirement drawings, etc.), technical documents supplied by the architect engineer (location of sources of radioactivity) the service will:
