Job description

The youth group at Radiant currently consists of about twenty middle and high school students that have good relationships with each other, the leaders, and the church. We also have a very good support team in place that is helping to grow this ministry. We believe this ministry is key to reaching our local community and want someone to continue to improve the ministry and its reach to surrounding community.

Requirements

1. Exhibit a vibrant walk with Jesus Christ through personal devotion and active commitment to the local church.
2. Able to uphold the Bible as the one source for truth and communicate the biblical values of Radiant Church as found in the Baptist Faith and Message 2001.
3. Experience participating in and growing a youth or college ministry.
4. A desire to strengthen believers, reach the lost, and build the church in accordance with the vision of Radiant Church.
5. Able and willing to become a member of Radiant Church by demonstrating commitment to our statement of faith and conduct.

Education and Experience:

• 3+yrs. of related experience preferred, but not required.
• Ministry training preferred, but not required.

Students Ministry Responsibilities

1. Oversee the youth ministry and ensure it is taking students deeper in the word of God, relationships with others, and the mission of God.
2. Build a thriving youth ministry that is reaching and discipling the students in our church and reaching those outside the church.
3. Oversee the administration and teaching of our bi-weekly meetings and special events.
4. Lead the youth volunteer team to continue to improve on meeting the needs of youth in the church and broader community.
5. Set an example of loving, befriending, and sharing with students who are new to the group and church.
6. Plan and lead fun and safe events for the youth that also develop relationships centered on God’s word.
7. Find creative ways to get involved in the local community and reach non-Christians with the gospel.
