At Sweet EM's Coffee and Ice Cream, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our local community of Dogtown. Our Crafters play a vital role in this by contributing to the seamless execution of guest orders across various sections - from the Drink Bar to the Ice Cream Bar and the Food Bar. As a Crafter, you'll have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of guests, learn essential customer service skills, and work collaboratively with a fun and supportive team.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Is interested in working 18-24 hours a week (3/4 shifts a week), with a 30 hour max (5 shifts) depending on the week.
- Has open availability in the mornings on both weekdays and weekends. Shift times: 6:30am-12:30pm or 8am-2pm
- Has some availability in the evenings on both weekdays and weekends. Shift times: 4pm-9/10pm or 2pm-10pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Register guests and provide a warm welcome as they enter
- Accurately process customer orders, ensuring all modifications are included for proper charging
- Maintain an organized and accurate cash drawer
- Prepare drink orders in accordance with build outlines, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Prepare ice cream orders and food items following order instructions
- Package and present completed orders neatly and efficiently
- Authorize guest discounts as required
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station throughout your shift
- Collaborate with the team to wash and sanitize dishes used during the shift
- Restock paper products and goods as needed
Qualifications:
- No previous experience required; we value a proactive and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Desire to learn and adapt to various roles within the crafting process
- Commitment to upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Team player with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues
