GoldBridge is seeking a Construction Inspector/Observer for our client which is a Civil Engineering firm located in the Moon Township area that’s been in business for over 45 years. The client performs Water / Wastewater collection & treatment design, Road design, Land Development design etc for dozens of towns & municipalities in Allegheny County as well as various private clients. The Inspector/Observer will spend approximately 80% of their time in the field & 20% in the office. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Work with engineers, contractors, clients, and property owners to ensure work is done to engineering design specifications, track daily progress, communicate with internal/external stakeholders, track material usage etc.
- Maintaining production records & writing daily reports using Excel & Word
- Communicating with Contractors, Township Officials & Property Owners
- Traveling directly to jobsites primarily located in Allegheny County
- Assist contractors with developing pay apps
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction experience, preferably with Municipal construction; experience with water lines, sewer lines, sanitary sewer lines, and road paving.
- Experience with utilizing Excel and Word for report writing
- Strong communication skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to commute to job sites
- Honesty, integrity, and being able to work independently
- Surveying experience & NICET Certifications are a plus
The Construction Observer pay rate starts at $24.00 - $30.00/hour depending on experience, plus overtime (the average work week is anywhere from 40 to 50 hours) full medical benefits, PTO, sick time, 401k and more.
