Job Overview

College of Engineering and Applied Science is seeking applications from Welding Shop instructors. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis to be included in the general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty are selected on an as-needed basis to teach face-to-face classes and online instruction.

Essential Functions

To provide hands-on experience to students in oxyacetylene welding (OAW), oxyfuel cutting (OFC), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux core arc welding (FCAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). Students also develop knowledge and skills in other welding areas including metal fabrication, visual inspection, and blueprint reading. Students will use the new skills to design and create welded sculpture.

This person will supervise students while they are working in the welding shop and will sometimes help the students with their welding.
