About the Job The OLLI Program Manager supports the educational programming
of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute within the Department of Professional Development and Lifelong Learning (PDL) in the College of
Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) on the St. Paul campus. The Program Manager is responsible for leading the planning,
development, and implementation of a portfolio of OLLI courses and offerings specifically targeting learners ages 50 and older. Drawing on a
background in noncredit enrichment learning, the OLLI Program Manager applies this knowledge to develop a robust and varied curriculum of
learning opportunities.
The Program Manager works with a range of constituents (e.g., colleagues, volunteers, partners, members) in a
variety of capacities: refine courses, initiate new course directions; consult on program design; manage evaluation process; and coordinate
with volunteers to design and deliver courses and offerings. The Program Manager works with the OLLI Director and volunteers to research and
develop new programming to respond to evolving needs. The OLLI Program Manager reports to the Director of OLLI.
This position offers
a flexible work arrangement as a hybrid position and has the unique opportunity to help shape and be responsible for the student
experience.

reviewing applications the week of March 4th, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled. The salary range for the position is
$58,000 - $64,000.
Duties Program Development and Support- 60%
- Lead the design, development,
implementation, and evaluation of a portfolio of noncredit, educational courses and offerings targeting people 50 and older
- Manage
the course solicitation and review process: solicit course proposals, review proposals, and plan and schedule courses for each OLLI
term
- Collaborate with volunteers to target gaps in the curriculum
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and oversight of OLLI
instructors, including those from OLLI Scholars and Culture Corps programs
- Coordinate the OLLI Scholar and Culture Corps
programs
- Lead the course evaluation process
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in noncredit enrichment
programming, incorporating these practices as appropriate
- Participate in local professional organizations, meetings, and events to
promote the programs and build relationships with potential partners and learners
- Plan formats and delivery methods that are
responsive to changing audience and course leader needs as revealed through evaluative instruments and other broad sources of
input
Data Analysis and Management- 20%
- Plan, organize, and oversee tasks, workflow, due dates, in support of OLLI
programming
- Identify and use tools to organize the work, plan effectively, gather data, and make recommendations
- Use data
and reports (e.g., membership trend data, financial reports) to inform and guide programming
- Leverage member and evaluation
feedback (e.g., curriculum, format, venue), sharing feedback with stakeholders and the OLLI team to improve programming and the member
experience
Organizational Management- 20%
- Organize and prepare work plans for each term's portfolio of course
offerings
- Support learners, course leaders, and staff to resolve issues as they arise
- Lead the process of finding and
reserving space for courses and programs on campus as well as at locations around the Twin Cities metro area
- Oversee the logistics
of scheduling and running online and in-person courses
- Lead the contracting process, including OLLI scholar contracts, guest speaker
stipends, and partner organization contracts
- Collaborate with members of the Marketing Team, the Academic Technology and Design
Team, the Registration Team, and others to successfully design, launch, and maintain courses and programs
- Supervise, assign, and
direct the work of student workers.
Qualifications REQUIRED: - Bachelor's degree and
3 or more years of related professional experience or Master's degree.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and at off-site locations
as required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skill & commitment to inclusivity and working
with diverse audiences.
- The ability to effectively use office software and collaboration tools such Microsoft Office software,
Google Collaboration Tools, and Zoom.
- Experience using virtual meeting platforms to support online course delivery (for example,
Zoom).
- At least one year of direct or related indirect supervisory
experience.
PREFERRED: - Demonstrated ability to plan professional development/continuing education programs
for adult learners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and project teams.
- Strong data analysis, financial, and budget
management skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and methods.
- Experience with/understanding of the needs of an
older adult population.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, able to build working relationships and work effectively
with a variety of constituents (e.g., colleagues, academic leaders, volunteers, partners, members).
- Ability to manage/grow existing
programs and develop new opportunities.

programs, and other noncredit learning opportunities to meet the needs of working professionals and adult learners. Within PDL, the Osher
Lifelong Learning Institute team plans, produces, and implements a range of high quality personal enrichment courses and events for adult
learners. Those produced for OLLI are specifically for audiences aged 50+ and include opportunities for volunteering and member
leadership.
