Position Specific Description
Our Power Delivery Business Unit is looking for a Lead Project Manager to join their Business Services team in Jupiter, FL. This position will develop and maintain key metrics as it relates to productivity and financial analysis and to communicate recommendations and influence decisions for the Business Unit.
Power Delivery is responsible for the safe, reliable delivery of power for Florida Power & Light (FPL). Within Power Delivery, Business Services is responsible for overseeing the operating unit’s budget, monthly financial forecasting, analysis, and maintaining strong financial controls and compliance.
The selected candidate for this role should possess the following:
• Financial and Project Management experience.
• Demonstrate ownership and can be entrusted with high priority deliverables including the ability to create and deliver presentations.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills, including but not limited to expertise in Excel, PowerPivot, Power BI, SQL, and SharePoint.
• Analytical Problem Solving and Innovative thinking.
• Strong communication skills as you will be working closely with multiple business partners.
• Ability to work on matrixed team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate under pressure and with multiple priorities.
• Must demonstrate strong bias for action, follow-through, and personal leadership.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders to act and partner to accomplish deliverables.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees a variety of large-scale projects of high complexity
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions
Provides expert information to internal and external clients on complex issues
Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Grad / GED
Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
Experience: 6+ years

Master's Degree
