Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain various landscape elements including annual and perennial beds, grass, shrubbery, and trees.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring the safety and health of our environment.
• Maintain accurate records of pesticide applications and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for chemicals used in the facility.
• Plan and prioritize unit activities, assist in implementing policies and procedures, and enforce rules and regulations to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure the department complies with OSHA regulations concerning chemicals stored at the facility.
• Engage with industry peers to stay updated on new plants and ideas, contributing to our commitment to innovation and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in horticulture or a related field (or associate degree and equivalent experience).
• Certification through the ASHS is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in landscaping or working with various types of plants is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
• Keen attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday with potential for overtime
