JOB SUMMARY:
UT Southwestern Medical Center has an opening within the Revenue Cycle Department team for a Revenue Cycle Intelligence Analyst. The successful candidate for this role will be able to do the following:
- Subject matter expert (SME) for Revenue Cycle programs and workflows.
- Serve as a SME for two or more EPIC applications; (HB/PB/SBO/Grand Central/Cadence) to assist revenue cycle leadership in making workflow decisions based on analytical information provided.
- Provide analytics that leverage the measures programmatically and meaningfully.
- Assist with R&D and completion of special projects.
- Develop and maintain date in Power BI, and SQL; Tableau knowledge preferred.
- Ensure high level of quality data; analytics and reporting meets Rev Cycle initiatives.
- Monitor report variances in data that is provided to staff and management and report to stakeholders.
This will be a work from home position (WFH). Details regarding WFH will be discussed during the interview process.
Shift: Flex shift possible start from 0600-0900 for hours.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree
- And two years of experience in revenue cycle or revenue cycle analytics in either an ambulatory or hospital setting
- Experience with enterprise data base systems such as SQL server, Microsoft Access, or Excel
- Previous experience in healthcare data analytics a plus
- May consider additional years’ experience in lieu of education
JOB DUTIES:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Revenue Cycle program(s) and workflow(s) and provide analytics that leverage these measures programmatically and meaningfully.
- Assist with research and development and completion of special projects for revenue cycle strategy.
- Develop and maintain electronic data capture tools and analytics for error identification, testing and output generation to maintain a high level of quality of data.
- Follow data management standards to ensure analytics and reporting meet various revenue cycle initiatives needs while ensuring accuracy and quality of data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for two or more Epic applications (HB/PB/SBO/Grand Central/Cadence) to assist revenue cycle leadership in making workflow decisions based on analytical information provided.
- Monitor and report variances in data that is provided to staff and management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
