This leadership role entails the Reliability Engineer's responsibility for enhancing equipment and area reliability within the designated business area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensuring timely completion of Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs) and corrective actions.
- Tracking equipment-related downtime data and causes, utilizing this information to pinpoint improvement opportunities and advocating these to area stakeholders.
- Managing a reliability improvement plan for departmental machinery.
- Ensuring critical reliability enhancement projects are included in capital and repair job plans.
- Incorporating reliability improvements into routine and major outage work scopes.
- Providing functional guidance and technical support to area Reliability inspectors.
- Enhancing the utilization of predictive technologies to minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Offering technical support to supervisors and craftsmen as required.
- Supporting planner work systems and enhancing master data, such as PM development and store-room inventory recommendations.
- Backing Capital and Repair Projects.
- Acting as an Engineering Liaison, overseeing capital work development and handoff to mill engineering.
- Advocating the "Design for Reliability" aspect in all capital and repair jobs.
- Assisting in Facility Plan Development by aiding in the 5-year repair plan and contributing to capital planning.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, with a preference for mechanical engineering.
- 4 years of reliability experience in an industrial maintenance setting.
- Thorough understanding of reliability principles and their application.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Proven ability to initiate and sustain change.
- Ability to effectively engage a workforce.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive problem-solving ability.
