Position Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill three part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Vegetable Breeding Farm Worker positions for the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University (OSU).


This position will mostly perform field maintenance tasks like planting, weeding, cultivating, harvesting, etc. There will also be lab work, like data collection and cross pollinations. Other tasks include field prep, lab cleaning, threshing, seed cleaning, and some greenhouse work. This work is done on a variety of vegetable crops like corn, beans, peas, broccoli, squash, peppers, and tomatoes.



Position Duties

85% Assisting with plot set up and maintenance:

10% Data collection and research support:

5% Other duties as assigned
