Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking an organized, detail oriented
Accountant to join our client, a non-profit organization, in
Philadelphia, PA! As the Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the month-end financial processes, including reconciliation, analysis, reporting, and support for audits, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely submission of grant expenditure reports. This temporary opportunity offers $30 per hour!
Responsibilities of the Accountant Include:- Handle month-end closing entries and analysis, ensuring timely completion for both GAAP and Governmental Fund Accounting.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
- Reconcile revenue and expenses for various programs and grants.
- Generate monthly financial reports for senior management.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budget/prior year.
- Maintain FTE and cost pool allocations tables.
- Prepare routine expense and profitability schedules for directors and program managers.
- Assist in budget preparation, including salary detail schedules and allocation of shared costs.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and schedules for audits.
Requirements of the Accountant:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or another related field, and 3+ years experience
- Understanding of GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team
