General Job Description: The Finance Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the organization and ensuring accurate financial operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position involves various financial tasks to maintain financial records, assist in budgeting, and support financial reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and organizational policies.
- Assist the Director of Operations in budget preparation and monitoring by collecting and analyzing financial information.
- Aid in the preparation of financial reports and statements, conducting analysis to identify trends and variances.
- Support audit processes by preparing documentation and implementing audit recommendations.
- Handle administrative tasks related to finance, including donation, invoice, and expense processing, data entry, and financial database management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping and data entry.
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports using accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Adherence to ethical standards in financial practices and confidentiality.
