FaceTime, Messages and Mail are some of the most used applications across both iOS and macOS platforms, and our work here touches millions of customers. The Communication Applications team is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent software engineer to help deliver the next quality release of these products on Apple’s platforms.
Key Qualifications
- Excellent programming skills in Python or other languages
- Ability to utilize debugging and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience in Swift or Objective-C or C/C++ is highly desirable
- Understanding of ML/AI concepts and data analytics is a plus
- Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.
- Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.

Description
The Communication Applications team is seeking a software engineer with a strong technical and triaging background to help screen and debug incoming issues. By understanding the reports coming in and escalating them appropriately, you will play a key part in making future releases of FaceTime, SharePlay, Messages and Mail even better. Excellent communication skills are a must because of the close interaction with engineering teams throughout Apple for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Design, develop and automate screening and triaging of incoming bugs for FaceTime, SharePlay, Messages and/or Mail.
- Triage incoming bugs, analyze logs, reproduce issues and help determine the correct resolvers, the priority of problems, while identifying emerging trends across the reported issues for FaceTime, SharePlay, Messages and/or Mail.
- Contribute to the code base of FaceTime, SharePlay, Messages and/or Mail to further enhance the product and logging.
- Drive quality and champion bug fixes, working closely with the development team and analyze root causes for the issues
Education & Experience
B.S or M.S in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
