Job description
Under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II who manages the Network Services Section, the incumbent will perform a variety of technical duties associated with support of CalRecycle’s network infrastructure (routers, switches, and related devices) and the support, maintenance and enhancement of CalRecycle’s Active Directory and ServiceNow systems. The incumbent also independently performs a wide variety of complex technical duties associated with the design, development, and enhancement of CalRecycle’s automation systems while ensuring consistent, predictable, and acceptable levels of availability and functionality to CalRecycle users.
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.You will find additional information about the job in the .

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
1. Experience managing enterprise networks.
2. Experience in supporting and maintaining network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
3. Experience in the diagnosis and repair of computer, network, and server components
4. Demonstrated experience with customer support in IT services (such as ServiceNow)
5. Experience with scripting and or programing languages (PowerShell prefered)
6. Experience with on-premise and cloud networks (such as Microsoft Azure)
7. Microsoft Active Directory Experience
