Job description
We at Senior Helpers - South OC are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced morning-shift Caregivers who will provide exceptional care to elderly clients in their homes. This individual will ensure that clients are safe, comfortable, and their needs are met in a professional manner. This is a full-time position that is located in Laguna Woods and is paid biweekly at a rate of $17 to $23 per hour.
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers an hourly wage of $17 to $23 per hour and paid biweekly. In addition to the hourly rate, other benefits include 401k, vacation/sick pay, and flexible schedules.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered, quality overnight care for elderly clients in clients' homes
- Follow all relevant client care plans, reporting any changes in client condition
- Assist in a range of daily living activities, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Attend to non-medical needs of clients, such as running errands, doing light housework, and exercising
- Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for clients
- Provide support with basic hygiene needs, including changing linens and bed, and clean bathroom
- Assist clients with transfers
- Recognize any changes in emotional/mental/physical condition of clients
- Remain available to assist clients throughout the night
Requirements
- Ability to jury agency protocols and procedures
- Ability to work at various sites
- Must be able to work overnight
- Compassion for elderly and disabled clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
