WE Transport is immediately hiring school bus drivers in Nassau County of Long Island. Having a CDL is a plus in our hiring process, but FREE CDL training is available.
What We Offer: FLEXIBILITY - Split-Shift- Mornings and Afternoons!
- Guaranteed 25-30 hours per week.
- FREE Training to prepare for CDL Permit.
- $750 bonus when you train with us and receive your CDL.
- $2,500 Sign-on-Bonus for any hired fully licensed NY CDL Driver who has an A, B or C license with P & S endorsements.
- Starting salary up to $24.50/hr for Van & up to $28.50/hr for Bus.

Job Summary - Operate school bus to transport authorized passengers to and from school programs in a safe and timely manner following prescribed route(s).
- Assess traffic and road conditions, monitor student behavior and other factors as necessary.
- Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating a vehicle. Adhere to DOT and state safety and district requirements and standards while operating yellow school bus.
- Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test and driving records.
- Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.
- Perform daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by company standards and state guidelines.
Job Requirements - Drivers must be at least 21 with 1 year driving experience
- NYS CDL Class A or B License with P & S endorsements for Bus
- NYS CDL C License with P & S for vans
- Must have a driver's license to enter CDL permit training (we train you for free!)
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
About the Company WE Transport has been a respected Long Island school bus operator since 1959. During the past five decades, we have provided Suffolk customers- with transportation for home-to-school, parochial, private, special needs riders, and pre-school children.
