We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Business Management and Internal Control to join our Operations Trading and India Services team (OTIS). This role will be located in Lake Mary, FL, Jersey City, NJ or Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid.
Operations is responsible for client onboarding, client transitions and conversions, middle office, asset movements, trade processing, clearance, settlement, custody (in 65 countries and currencies), which includes tax, cost basis, corporate actions, lending and trade and security reference data and ownership of numerous applications and three critical business services for resiliency planning.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Prioritize and manage strategic initiatives for our Operations and India Services teams (OTIS) which are 1400+ people across multiple locations:
- Leading Key Initiatives
- Team Goal Setting and Prioritization
- Key Operational Performance Indicators
- Operational Risk Events and Risk Management
- Dashboard Analytics & Metrics
- Location Strategy
- Compliance, Risk and Regulatory Items
- Systems Access and Systems Migration
- Budget Management
- Implementing Changes Impacting the Business
- Meeting Management and Show Flow
- Serve as the right hand to the Head of Operations supporting leaders across the business by staying ahead of "what's next" and powering our culture through:

- Recruiting and Onboarding

- Organizational Change Management
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required; MBA beneficial
- 10-15 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in management preferred
- Experience in securities or financial services preferred
- Series 7 and 24 required
- A desire to collaborate, problem solve and seek innovative ways to improve processes. Excellent organizational skills. Good judgement, execution oriented, decisionmaker. Ability to prioritize and operate with tight timelines. Strong and effective writing and communication skills. Ability to build effective relationships across a diverse group of colleagues.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $260,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
