QA Engineer

About this position
This role is a pivotal part of the team, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing and analysis. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, development, and project management, to understand requirements, plan testing strategies, and execute tests effectively. With a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies and a deep understanding of APIs and online trading domains, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality solutions to clients. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, development, and Scrum partners to understand requirements and participate in planning.
- Build test plans, and test cases, and execute tests as part of a Scrum team.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the online trading domain and assist offshore teams with domain-specific guidance.
- Implement test strategies, monitor executions, and report on testing progress.
- Act as a key liaison between product, development, and QA teams.
- Study API implementation, perform impact analysis, and guide QA teams for comprehensive test coverage.
- Coordinate release planning between web and backend layers in collaboration with development and project managers.
- Identify automation scope and prioritize tasks for automation teams, delivering automation within sprint cycles.
- Build API test strategy and reporting solutions.
- Transform manual regression suites into automation suites by collaborating with automation teams.
- Prioritize the scope for automation teams based on current and future strategic projects.
Qualifications
:
- 5+ years of total experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with testing APIs (XML / JSON / SOAP, REST).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.
- 2+ years of hands-on JIRA / Confluence experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with writing and testing APIs.
- 3+ years of experience in testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles.
- Sound working knowledge of Change Management processes.
- Agile certification
