HOERBIGER Corporation of America, INC. is seeking a Quality Specialist who is a career-minded individual looking for long-term growth and potential for our growing team.

The Quality Specialist is primarily responsible for day-to-day tasks that further support the organization’s goal to reduce non-conforming products. He or she can support prevention by helping new employees with onboarding and ensure that only calibrated tools are used.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Operate and comprehend basic inspection equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Hardness Testers, Profilometers, Optical comparators, coordinate Measuring Machine Basics, etc.
• Ability to check part to the blueprint to ensure conformity, as well as notice other defects not defined (damages, material impurities, etc).
• Perform the Control of Inspection Measuring and Test equipment.
• Work with outside vendors for specific gage calibration.
• Perform in-process CMM measurements.
• Perform shop floor audits when needed.
• Able to communicate and work interdepartmentally.
• Ability to use SAP to purchase new gauges.
• Perform on-boarding Quality training for all new employees. Perform miscellaneous duties and inspections as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6-8 years relevant experience in quality & manufacturing.
