The team We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer who can craft memorable user experiences and elevate the Hitachi Vantara brand. You will work on the Design team within the Creative Brand Department, and work closely with other visual designers, video editors, brand writers. You will also work cross-departmentally with other members of the marketing team (Demand Gen, Channel, Content, Web, Ops) to create innovative and engaging work that resonates with our audiences and elevates the brand.
The role • Review, clarify, and build upon the design brief in coordination with design leadership to achieve project goals in a creative a clever way.
• Work with a wide range of media and design software.
• Think creatively and conceptually to develop new approaches to design, graphics, and layouts.
• Ability to be professional and clearly present your ideas.
• Ability to client manage on projects, sit in and represent the design and creative teams on meetings with stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to projects and ways to improve our team processes.
• Collaborate with other designers to ensure consistent branding, tone, and user experience.
• Ensure all graphic elements and layouts are on brand and follow Hitachi Vantara's design and brand standards.
What you'll bring • 5+ years of experience in designing and creating impactful experiences (in-house or agency).
• Creative curiosity, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality.
• Strong online portfolio showing a range of work and innovative, out-of-the-box ideas.
• Ability to concept, pitch and execute on ideas.
• Up to date with industry-leading software and technologies (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• A team player, professional attitude, take initiative on workload and working to improve your craft.
• Ideal candidate will be in the West Coast time zone.
