Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: On-site in Warren, MI
Salary: $90-$115k DOE
Requirements: At least 5+ years in manufacturing engineering related role, high-volume manufacturing environment, Allen-Bradley PLC, SQL
We are a global automotive supplier of pump, valvetrain, transmission and electric drive components and systems. Due to company growth, we are adding a highly skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to our brand new team. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, proven experience in manufacturing engineering within the automotive industry, and strong knowledge of Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, Statistical Process, and Machine Controls.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, construction, and implementation of assembly equipment control systems. You will lead oversee the assembly equipment control systems and standards to fulfill production requirements.
Additional Responsibilities Include: - Design electrical schematics, controls, safety, power circuits, pneumatic systems, BOM, and panel layouts for custom automation systems
- Conduct equipment diagnostics and design using PLC and HMI
- Identify, analyze, and resolve problems
- Assist with FMEAs and Control plans
- Test, troubleshoot, and debug automation systems
- Conduct validations, including IQ, OQ, and PQ
- Develop and implement work instructions and SOPs
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical)
- 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Allen-Bradley PLC Systems experience required
- Experience with ignition or other middleware
- LabView experience preferred
- SQL data management
- Strong ability to read and comprehend complex work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
- Strong working knowledge of Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, Statistical Process, Machine Controls
- ISO 14001/TS 16949
- AutoCAD or other drafting software knowledge
