Job description

Hire Direct is currently interviewing Maintenance Manager's for a Direct Hire opportunity with a Food Production company in Boardman, Oregan . You will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations from a Maintenance viewpoint and monitor maintenance technician's work. You will actively participate in hiring, training, and direct supervision of maintenance personnel.

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:00am-5:00pm with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Salary: $80,000- $90,000

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical / electronic equipment including but not limited to PLC's, variable speed AC drives, power supplies, gearboxes, pumps, motors, etc.
  • Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in-line with OSHA requirements.
  • Maintains company required maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Optimizes inventory to reduce costs, while maintaining proper parts availability.
  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures, and conducts required training in the implementation of these practices.
  • Conducts safety inspections, observes and reviews work practices, conducts job safety training, and ensures plant safety rules are being followed.
  • Manages relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Assists with interviewing and selection of new personnel in the maintenance department.
  • Manages multiple tasks and priorities, easily adapts to changing situations.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor at a mid-to-large size manufacturing facility.
  • RETA Certification preferred.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of Electrical, Mechanics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Troubleshooting, as well as a level of millwork skills.
  • Working knowledge of automated machines and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of managing maintenance through CMMS.
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent Written and Communication Skills.
