Responsibilities
Palm Shores is accepting applications for a full-time master’s level Discharge Therapist.
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home.

The Discharge Therapist will facilitate the discharge planning process through coordination with the interdisciplinary team and serve as a liaison to safely transition patients to the appropriate level of care. The Discharge Therapist will also conduct therapeutic services for patients such counseling sessions for families, individuals, and groups when the primary therapist is unavailable. This position is located at the facility with a weekday schedule of 8:30a-5p.

Qualifications Education:
Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
License/Certification: Current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, LMHC or Registered Intern in the aforementioned fields preferred.
One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with children and/or adolescents.
