Job description
IWP is seeking applicants for the position of a Compliance Specialist in its Andover, Massachusetts office. The Compliance department leads and guides IWP’s efforts to comply with statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements that affect the company. The Compliance department also manages the company’s internal audit and risk management functions.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the company’s audit program at the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Compliance, conduct audits, and manage follow-up on any corrective actions
- Coordinate the company’s risk management activities (including risk assessments and required remediation) as directed by the Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Compliance
- Coordinate delivery of internal and external deliverables with stakeholders at every level in the company
- Conduct research and presents findings
- Lead review and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures within the organization
- Co-develop, track and maintain compliance dashboards and provide periodic reporting
Serves as Administrator for PolicyTech (or like similar policy management system)
- Work with business areas to develop policy, procedure, SOP processes and audits for completion on a regular basis
- Provide support for Compliance Committee meetings and activities
- Co-lead compliance-focused activities (i.e. Compliance Week)
- Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to support the implementation of policies, procedures and processes
- Assemble presentation materials for internal and external meetings as directed
- Maintain office files and shared documents as directed
- Track and respond to subpoena requests in a timely manner and as directed
- Maintain required privacy requirements
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree required, with 2-3 years of experience with regulatory, compliance, data privacy and audit experience in healthcare settings
- Compliance Certification (i.e. CHC) preferred
- Experience with data privacy and/or HIPAA requirements desired
- MS Office with strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills
- Ability to handle compliance matters with sensitivity and confidentiality
- Exceptional communication skills and appreciations of time sensitivity to deadlines
- Project management skills desired
- Exceptional attention to detail
