Position Summary
Individuals in this highly selective role will serve as part of the campus leadership team to which they are assigned - providing guidance and oversight to the operations team there - while also fulfilling regional and network-wide responsibilities focused on solving operational issues, leading cross functional teams, and driving standardization. This role will be highly focused and accountable to the implementation and execution of activities to support the evolving Supply Chain model and service to 200 - 500 retail locations. Associates in this role will also take part in rigorous training and educational opportunities to prepare them to grow the capabilities to be a highly effective campus leader in the future. This role is a mission-critical opportunity to grow Supply Chain leaders of the future while allowing them to work directly in the operation. Individuals in this role will contribute to the development and execution of D&T strategies for the site and region and create tools/processes to measure and provide visibility on progress and create accountability to ensure projects and initiatives are completed on-time and on-target. Will work in and lead cross-functional teams with other functional areas and external parties, e.g., Regional Team Members, Banner, Shared Service, SC Operations, Vendors, Government Agencies, etc., to ensure that all groups are driving the Supply Chain strategy in support of overall strategy for Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA).
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with on-site Campus Leader and regional leader(s) to create, refine, and execute outlined Distribution and Transportation strategies and initiatives.
- Lead development of execution plans, tracking and reporting of progress, and driving accountability in support of achieving established goals.
- Interface with regional roles in support of implementation of strategies and defined business approaches within Distribution and Transportation that will align with overall goals and initiatives for ADUSA.
- Coach and develop assigned team in achieving results.
- Assist in the development, oversight, and adherence to operating budget for Distribution and Transportation campus in the assigned region with an annual spend of ~$50M.
- Monitor and make recommendations to meet budgeted key performance metrics, which include, but are not limited to: Safety, P&L, Payroll, Staffing/Attrition, Throughput, Shrink, Mileage Cost, Cost per Carton etc.
- Drive development, communication and implementation of internal processes and procedures for the region to streamline efficiencies and introduce savings opportunities.
- Supports regional relationship management, internal and external, of cross-functional departments, associates, vendors, contractors, and the general public, as well as governmental and regulatory agencies.
- Provide leadership that will motivate associates and function as an effective promoter of change and growth.
- Drive talent management by supporting the development of leadership skills and knowledge within the Distribution and Transportation center from the perspective of succession planning with an emphasis on building bench strength for future leadership.
- Focused engagement in leadership development and supply-chain specific training activities to prepare for future leadership roles in network.
Knowledge:
- Strong financial planning and budgeting experience
- Advanced knowledge of full network D&T strategy
- Strong knowledge and awareness of network intricacies to identify broader impacts of projects and initiatives.
- Seasoned level of knowledge for company, business, and industry practices
- In depth experience with warehouse management functions

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years combined experience in supply chain, logistics, retail, merchandising, category, pricing, procurement, or distribution.
