Job description
Reporting to the Vice President, the Finance Manager will:
- Lead profitability and expense planning; partnering with the management team to strategize regarding potential investments, capital equipment, ROI, pricing options, costs, Kaizens, etc. to meet financial goals.
- Identify and develop optimal KPI’s; as well as new and innovative processes for financial information communications.
- Analyze market conditions and changes and reflect the same in financial economic plan projections, company forecasts, and business strategy (interest rates, automotive market interests, outstanding loans, long term contracts, commodities levels and planning, capital projects).
- Report consolidated financial analysis to the leadership team.
- Solicit, compile, and provide justification explanations for all budget variances from departmental feedback.
- Manage direct reports, reviewing work as is necessary, coaching, and development accordingly.
- Protect the company’s financial assets and ensure compliance at a state and federal level.
- Conduct financial analysis as is requested or as a strategic effort for cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage the local annual budgeting process with department heads; create income statement. Manage the labor cost, administrative and depreciation budget.
- Provide financial analysis assistance to executive team for pricing, costing, and strategy.
- Complete corporate tax filing activities with the Dowa Accountant.
- Manage 3 direct reports.
This is a new position to the company and the successful candidate will have:
- A BA in a related field of study and an MBA would certainly be a plus.
- 10 years experience in finance roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Extreme comfort in providing financial projections relative to investments, anticipated ROI, cost reduction opportunities, etc.
- An ability to partner with senior level staff and an understanding of the culture typical of a smaller organization.
- A curiosity for possibilities, courage to take responsibility, and confidence to help drive the organization would be effective character traits.
- An interest in market conditions, economy, and the current financial climate would be appreciated.
The target compensation for this role is a base of $130,000.
