Job description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Kennesaw, GA. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Define the vision and roadmap for the product, defining and prioritizing stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment
- Possess a working knowledge of the product, and basic understanding of the business or technology domain
- Create the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain
- Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems
- Create and prioritize work for one team
- Learn to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Create and prioritize stories in the product backlog
- Refine stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints
- Review and accept stories and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements
- Work in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business
- Interpreting business needs and applying innovative technology solutions
Requirements: - Motivated and driven technologist with a proven track record with a commitment to quality, efficiency, and excellence
- Financial services experience in Corporate / Wholesale Banking and/or Treasury / Cash Management
- Application development knowledge and experience
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, basic project management skills and presentations skills
- Experience with SDLC / SW development processes (RUP, Agile, and Waterfall)
- Experience in application design construction, implementation, and maintenance
- Experience working with technical design process and models
- Experience with and knowledge of Agile project management methodology
- 5+ years relevant work experience with business and technology projects including process improvement/re-engineering and technology change efforts
- Knowledge of project tools (JIRA experience preferred)
- UAT experience
- Design oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to facilitate meetings, capture key outcomes/actions and own product documentation
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and in Visio
- Strong decision making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills
- Must be proficient in data management to include strong data analytic capability
- Must have strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks
- Enthusiastic, energetic, determined and positive especially under pressure
- Critical thinker and risk minded
Desired skills: - Senior Java
- Payments domain knowledge
- Scrum Master experience
- Agile, PMI, Six Sigma certifications
- Workflow experience
Pay Range: $55.06 - $63.06
