Description:
1st shift opening
This fabricator will be responsible for welding and fabrication of equipment in-house and on-site with various companies in the Jackson area. For the most part they will be working with someone on repairs but they often do work independently.
Typical Day:
- Meeting with manager to go over work for the day
- Drive company truck to plant (usually will travel with someone)
- Perform mechanical maintenance
The work could last one day could last a week. Their millwrights are exposed to a variety of work and lot of them like this aspect of the job.
Job duties:
- Reading blueprints and schematics
- Use of hand and power tools
- Troubleshoot machinery
- Fabrication of parts (MIG or stick welding)
