We are looking for a Manager of Settlement Operations to join our fast-growing Finance Operations team. This role reports directly to their Director of Finance Operations.
In this role, you will manage a team that is responsible for performing daily settlement account reconciliation activities. Proactively working with the team, you will ensure reports showing the status of cash balancing, key performance measures, trending, and other related data are completed accurately and on schedule. This position requires a high level of team collaboration and communication with other departments. On occasions, the hours may differ from the usual schedule due to unexpected deadlines or other issues that develop.Requirements
• Support team with complex issues, reconciliations and/or investigations.
• Work closely with internal teams to help resolve issues to best serve our customers.
• Generate timely and accurate cash and system platform balancing of daily merchant settlement activity.
• Settlement bank account management that includes monitoring daily bank balances related to funds movement, daily cash levels and company injected funds for accruals and float.
• Review and approve daily and monthly reconciliations in accordance with SOX requirements.
• Validate and produce financial balancing reports from various systems.
• Design and maintain policies and procedures documentation.
• Support automation/Innovation, process review and improvement, develop product operational testing.
• Set and help drive team objectives, including talent development.
• Special projects as assigned including ad hoc reporting.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• College or university Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Proven ability to define problems, collect data, and facilitate resolution.
• Able to work with a decentralized team in multiple countries.
• Prior team management experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Considerable knowledge of banking functions.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and standards.
• Self-starter, requires minimal supervision or direct management.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced growth environment.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Power BI, SQL and Great Plains experience a plus.
