The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a
Registered Nurse to work in our Residential Nursing Department. The Registered Nurse will be accountable to support the direct care needs of children between the ages of 8 and 17, who live in a home setting, residential treatment program. A RN must be a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers, who ensure that our clients receive individualized, high quality, and safe patient care. As a member of the residential nursing department, it is expected that the selected individual upholds the voice of the patient, adheres to policies and procedures, in tandem with supporting service excellence goals.
Base Compensation: Shifts Available: (2nd, and 3rd)- 2nd: 2:00pm -10:00pm
- 3rd: 10:00pm - 6:00am
Shift Differentials: (2nd, and 3rd)- 2nd: $3.50 / hour
- 3rd: $2.50 / hour
Weekend Differential: Location: Grove City, OH
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Evaluates illnesses (reports of illnesses) and checks vital signs. Advises follow up as needed, monitors, and/or administers medications as prescribed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Provides professional nursing and emergency care to youth, staff and advises appropriate follow up.
- Completes rounds within the campus based programs consulting with staff members, evaluating special precautions, as necessary.
- Delivers newly ordered medication to appropriate program site and documents in Medication Administration Record.
- Provides assistance in scheduling medical appointments in accordance with physician orders.
- Provides special precautions as needed.
- Completes medication counts as assigned.
- Takes physicians orders and orders medications in accordance with prescriptions.
- Coordinates physicians and clinical orders and maintains medical files.
- Ensures clear and proactive team communication to support the provision of excellent care across providers.
- Communicates effectively with team members and provides needed support to nurse practitioner, and psychiatrist with focus on quality customer interaction and excellent care coordination across treatment team members; participates as active member of treatment teams.
- Provide medication teaching to clients and document accordingly.
- Initiate admission Emergency Medical file.
- Performs clerical/administrative duties related to nursing work, medical records.

SKILLS & ABILITIES - Education: Associate's degree or higher
- Experience: One to two years related experience
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office ( Excel, Outlook, Word) and Profiler.
- Certificates & Licenses: RN or LPN certification in Ohio, CPR, and First Aid
