A Logistics Specialist I job is available with our client in Parker, CO. As a Logistics Specialist I, you will assist with the preparation of our logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. You'll support routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. To be considered for this role, you will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and relevant work experience.
Logistics Specialist I Job Duties:
- Assist with the preparation of our logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
- Support routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities.
- Learn applicable state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.
- Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.).
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent along with some relevant logistics experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, climb stairs.
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Preferred: Exposure to inventory databases Familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
- Preferred: Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
- Preferred: HazMat Training/Certification
- Preferred: Ability to operate a Forklift Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
- Preferred: Understanding of Shelf Life Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
- Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance if needed.
