Job description

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has a position available for a limited-term, full-time engineering intern to work on transportation projects starting in May/June 2024 and ending in August 2024.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting engineers and field inspectors with construction engineering projects
• Assisting with daily logs, inspections, and quantity takeoffs
• Assisting in the field with construction observation
• Reviewing construction plans for proper installation on project sites
• Working with other teams in the office such as Aviation, Utility Coordination, Road and Hydraulic Design, etc.
• Assisting with administrative and clerical work such as filing and scanning
• Some intermittent travel (2 nights at a time) and a valid driver’s license are required

Successful candidates must have completed at least four semesters of college-level coursework in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field.

The ideal candidate will possess any/all of the following:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Construction field inspection experience
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Technical report writing experience
