The Role
We are looking for a process and data-driven Group Manager to lead our Supply Chain Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Project Management Team. The team focuses on strategic and tactical purchasing as well as supplier qualification, development, and industrialization topics for Tesla's Supply Chain Organization. The role requires building strong cross-functional working relationships with stakeholders at all levels from global supply management, quality, design engineering, legal, and finance teams who support Tesla's supply chain processes. As a result, exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills are crucial, as is the ability to synthesize complex issues, drive desired outcomes, and influence stakeholders across functions inside and outside Tesla. You will be part of a team that is positioned independently from any specific spend category and serves as an internal supply chain optimization group globally.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of project managers based on a defined global operational excellence strategy and roadmap for Tesla's purchasing and supplier industrialization engineering organization
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities to drive efficiency and scalability of Tesla's supply chain teams and processes globally
- Independently lead multiple projects simultaneously across time-zones and regions (including North America, EMEA, and APAC) as well as stakeholder groups
- Analyze abstract problems, identify root causes, develop solutions to complex problems, and effectively present relevant information to non-technical audiences
- Effectively utilize data and reporting on supply chain KPIs to proactively identify operational risks and conduct root cause analyses
- Define and manage scope for both individual contributor projects as well as team projects of varying complexity and duration
- Document and communicate program strategies, roadmaps as well as individual project requirements, objectives, and status updates to project stakeholders
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent
- 7 - 10 years of project management experience delivering results in complex cross-functional initiatives
- 5+ years of strategic and operational supply chain experience in automotive, aerospace, consulting, or tech industry
- 5+ years of experience in leading a team of high performing individuals
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to find and utilize relevant data to improve business processes and workflows
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint as well as experience with project management tools, e.g., Project, Jira, Confluence, Visio
- Exceptional communications, strategic thinking, organizational and interpersonal skills

Expected Compensation $68,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
