TIME FRAME: This is a short term, event day only position.
April 25 - May 5, 2024
POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as the first direct customer contact for all VIP guests. You will interact directly with VIP guests, including members of the Krewe of Jazz Fest, Grand Marshal, Big Chief, and our new GA+, at entry and exit gates. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with VIP Krewe Supervisors and other team members to facilitate seamless access to the festival from the point of purchase to entry at the ticket gates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with the Ticket Administrator to oversee the gate credentialing system for VIP ticket holders.
- Manage wristband inventory, including scanning credentials and assigning them to gate staff responsible for wrist banding.
- Conduct inventory reconciliation at the end of each day and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors regarding VIP ticket customer inquiries, issues, and resolutions.
- Ensure smooth and timely entry and exit for VIP guests through designated gates.
- Address any ticket-related questions or issues on-site, coordinating with VIP Krewe supervisors and other appropriate representatives.
- Refer complex logistical coordination involving high-profile or high-demand customers to the VIP Experience department.
- Participate in debriefing meetings at the end of each day and week to enhance customer service protocols.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Absences and/or scheduling discrepancies must be reported to the ticketing/finance department at least 3 weeks before opening day.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
- Give any document, computer program, design, or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival (and, therefore, belonging to the Jazz Festival) to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
- Attend and complete any required training.
- Complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports.
- Must attend and complete any required training.
- Perform all other work-related duties, as assigned.

Spread out over two long weekends in late April and early May, Jazz Fest takes place at the New Orleans Fair Grounds Race Track, located just minutes from the French Quarter.
