Job description
Kelly is hiring a Lab Technician for one of our clients in Eagan, MN
12 Month Temporary Assignment with potential for full time employment
There is some flexibility but requires the shift to be between 7 AM and 4 PM. This position requires full time onsite.
Pay: $25/hr

This position is part of the team supporting multiple divisions. The job includes chemical and application testing such as cleaning evaluation, damage analysis and materials compatibility testing. Samples are delivered from customers sites, coordinated by field sales associates. Data accuracy, quality and speed of lab report turn around are key objectives for the department.
Main Responsibilities:
This position will contribute to the effectiveness and productivity of the Sales and Service organization through accurate and efficient lab analysis. This position delivers results to cross-divisional corporate sales and service forces across North America. Specific accountabilities and duties include:
Providing routine lab analysis and technical support to the Sales and Service organization.
Cross-training to develop the capability to support all the types of analysis required by the lab.
Utilize the LIMS system for lab sample tracking and reporting.
Provide clear and accurate data summaries and analysis.
Completion of special project assignments to improve our knowledge base or upgrade the lab infrastructure.
Updating and developing documentation for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Duties:
Bench Analysis 80%
Data Summary and Analysis 10%
Special projects and team participation 5%
Infrastructure maintenance and development 5%
Basic Qualifications:
Associate degree in chemistry, biology, or a related scientific field. (open to new graduates)
1+ year work experience in a technical laboratory
Basic understanding of chemistry, chemical safety and handling, and fundamental laboratory techniques
Proficient understanding of Microsoft Suite software including (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related scientific field.
Self-Motivated, able to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment
Experience with LIMS software or other laboratory sample and results management software.
Other software familiarity is a plus; such as (adobe, Hunter Labs, Imaging software)
Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrates attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, and advance knowledge of equipment design, function and installation procedures
